We have had a “christian” President for 8 years (george w. bush) and abortion was and is still legal, gays were and are still able to get married. Educate yourselves as American citizens. With a “christian” president many of the members of your church lost their jobs, homes, and family in two wars. We cannot be dumb-bible-belt christians. We have to open the newspaper, visit the library, READ!!!!! and Then you can make an informed decision.
I graduated from LSU and moved to Washington DC in 2008, I see the difference in income levels and education levels. We have to do better as children of God. Even Jesus studied for 30 before He began ministry. READ!!!!!

I agree with your agreement with God’s word on this issue.

I’ve heard the argument from people many times that the church “picks on” homosexuals, as if their sin is worse than any other sin. I thought about this a lot. The reason it seems that way is this: The homosexual agenda, particularly within the church (and it definitely has a foothold in the church), seeks to say that homosexuality it not a sin. We all know and agree that stealing, lying, killing, etc are sins. If we commit a sin and ask forgiveness, that is one thing. But the homosexual agenda’s goal is for it to not be considered sin at all. That is the difference. We have to take a stand on this and make it clear to people that you cannot claim to live your life based on the Bible, when the Bible itself condemns the lifestyle you refuse to believe is sinful. No, my sin is not better than a homosexual’s sin. The difference is my agreement with God that my sin is sin.

I’ve seen it mentioned in the blog before that sin is sin in the eyes of God. I beg to differ. Homosexual sin completely topples a society by bringing disease and perverse thinking. These individuals celebrate naked in parades and other things that I could never mention. God did not take this sin casually in the Word. He reigned down burning sulphur on Sodom and Gomorrah completely destroying the entire city. Never again do you see an entire city destroyed by fire from Heaven. You see some drop dead for lying, you see some call down fire to protect themselves, but never an entire city. That’s how much God despises this sin. His procreation plan is at stake here. When an elected official believes that this is a casual choice and should be condoned, they need not hold this office no longer. As Pastor Joel said we must be as zealous as God is about the sins that He judges the harshest. Love the sinner, lead them to repentance and restoration but abhore the sin.
