Generation of Rage

Malachi 4:5-6 Look, I am sending the prophet Elijah before the great and dreadful day of the Lord arrives. His preaching will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of children to their fathers. Otherwise, I will come and strike the land with a curse.

My friends, we are seeing this curse manifesting before our eyes. There is a generation of young people out there who possess a deep rage within them. This rage is manifesting in drug overdoses, run away teens, suicides (both successful and attempted), and violence. The shootings in Arizona are just another brutal example of a young man who is filled with the rage of this generation. Without quick and intentional intervention there will be more and more widespread destruction at the hands of this generation. Having worked with young people for over 8 years as a youth pastor, the Lord has given me a supernatural burden and anointing for the deliverance of these tormented youth.

The Bible says in the above passage that 2 things must happen in order for this problem to be eradicated. 1. the prophet Elijah will come. God is going to raise up a prophetic voice in this nation that will not stand back and be silent in the midst of this great need. I believe that God has called me and other choice vessels to lift high a clear call of righteousness and deliverance in this hour. 2. His (Elijah’s) preaching will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children. The Lord is going to use this voice of Elijah to stir fathers from their complacency and slumber. There must be an awakening of fathers both natural and spiritual!

The Lord is moving on my heart greatly in the midst of this time of prayer and fasting to speak out this year in a spiritual response to the national crisis at hand. The govt doesn’t know what to do. The media has no answers. Hollywood just continues to create more of a problem. The experts have no solution. We have the answer! His name is Jesus. He came to save, heal, and deliver! He is the same yesterday, today, and forever! I will be moving quickly in the next days and weeks to provide tangible outlets for young people and the parents of these rage-filled youth who have no clue how to deal with what they see happening inside their beloved child. We must meet this bid of the enemy to destroy our youth and curse this great land with a furious rally. Join me in prayer as the Lord leads me further in this direction. OH! how my heart burns within me today for this generation!

Luke 1:17b He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and he will cause those who are rebellious to accept the wisdom of the godly.

Pastor Joel, you are so right. Also, vile music is another contributor to the rage of this generation. The lyrics are full of hate, rebellion, murderous, perverted lyrics and ideas. When we listen to music of this type, we cannot help but be affected.

I often see bands and lyrics posted by many young people on Facebook and I am constantly surprised at the number of Christian young people that listen to the likes of Marilyn Manson and other demonically inspired musicians. Others listen to sexually charged or hateful lyrics that promote anarchy and violent, rebellious behavior that is the antithesis of what God desires. Foul language permeates most of these songs as well. Christian youth are in fellowship with unbelievers through this music and it is certainly corrupting them.

Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? (II Corinthians 6:14)

There is also a deep rage in the hearts of young people in the church, young people see the leaders as phony, immoral, divorced, narcissistic, they see the church as a family business that they cannot break into, so they dance, sing, fake worship and the rage continues to build, in my country the largest church is Pastored by a man divorced 2 times and the Dean of the Bible School is married 3 times, the spiritual leaders of the nation look the other way and try to find some scriptural excuse for this, and they found it in the hypergrace message. Thank God for you young man, what will stop the rage is truth.
