Hallelujah...the words you have posted have encouraged me. The Holy Spirit is going forth...there is definitely a major "clean up" going on in the spirit. It hasn't shown forth yet in the natural ...but in the supernatural, the warfare is real....and while a large majority of Americans and ppl around the world are "medicated" they are bound by the lie of prescription drugs innocent appearance. We watch celebrity after celebrity die of emptiness and pain as they end their life with what they think is innocent. It's a lie from the pit of hell....people that we know even are fading away ...but I am here as a witness that God will prevail...there truly is a remnant being raised up right now....Praise Him... thank you for your obedience Sir. You and your family are in my prayers.

So you believe someone that grabs power, wiretaps, and does unlawful survelliance should determine medical care? That's sounds very scary to me. Too scary. I don't answer for Pastor Joel and I don't believe Mrs. Kristi did either. She just asked you to consider a few things before you jump on the bandwagon of "I deserve certain things in life." Truth be known, none of us deserve anything but a cross and three nails. Thank God He gave that to His only precious Son to take care of. We need to trust Him for the rest. If you look at humanity, He sees fit to allow the wicked and the just to die of diseases in every country. But some will say "but he deserved to live and see his children grow." Sometimes it just doesn't happen that way. God uses His people to help others and I know that the government is NOT His people. He made the world and everything in it and everything belongs to Him. All decisions should belong to Him and we should give Him that right to speak to His people. Sounds like you got defensive when someone gives you some wisdom to think about....I smelled a lil sarcasm in your answer. When someone comes in love to give you thoughts and answers are given back in sarcasm, usually a heart issue is involved. Prayin for you dear brother or sister in Christ :o)

Mrs. Kristie:
Thanks for your response although I believe my question was directed to Pastor Joel. Now that you have answered for him, how do you propose we give healthcare to everyone, if not through the Federal Govt?
The Federal Govt. has always been grabbing power...wiretapping, unlawful survelliance , unlawful search so what's new? Again, how do you propose to stop greed, graft and immorality? What is the way out, if the Federal Govt does not step in? Can we form a Committee of Christians to regulate Healthcare for all? Will you serve on that committee or be head of it?

Leonie, I have a few thoughts regarding your post that I would like you to consider. No one should go without healthcare in the wealthiest nation in the world and no one should die because they can't afford a doctor or hospital. The question is whether the federal government should be in charge of running a healthcare system, both from a practical and constitutional standpoint. Practically speaking, they federal govt can't even manage to run the postal system correctly, the news this week was that it is billions of dollars in the hole. A huge bureaucracy eventually takes on a life of its own at the cost of efficiency and quality, and the workers and taxpayers end up paying the price for it. Constitutionally, the federal gov't only has the power granted to it by the constitution itself, primarily in Articles I,II and III. The Bill of Rights doesnt give the gov't power, it places limits on that power, a line beyond which the gov't can not cross. Nowhere in the Constitution can you find the authority for such a large power grab by the federal govt.
Mercy and giving is the job of the Church and the People of this great country. If we were not burdened by skyrocketing taxes, burdensome regulations and frivolous lawsuits (which we all pay for in the form of increased costs), then we could afford to take care of one another as our Lord instructed us to do. Perhaps our church could even have a free healthcare program for the needy, paid for by the savings from abolishing every governmental program and agency that crosses the bounds of the Constitution. The corrupt business practices that play a part in rising healthcare costs must be stopped, not replaced by government corruption. Greed in the marketplace is immoral, and putting government greed in its place will simply replace one evil with another. Let the healthcare workers care for people, let the government keep us safe and secure within our borders, and let the Church rise up in love and compassion for the needy and poor in a culture that has lost its way.

Dear Joel:
What do you think about President Obama's move to give healthcare to all Americans? I want you to think about it carefully before you respond. As you go to the doctors for your treatment, think of those among us who cannot afford to pay for healthcare. Do you think that those of us who can pay should help those who cannot? "What you do to the least of these you have done for me"..I might not have quoted that verse correctly but that gives the essence of what our Savior Jesus Christ said. Just qant you frank opinion. As I sit in church and hear you preach I am just wondering.
Thanks.

That is so true. As American's we don't really understand how good we have it. We take even the smallest things for granted. I am a proud American. People complain about our country when we should be praying for our leaders. Well pur Pastor.
