Reading these chapters of Leviticus now, it strikes me that these offerings were the delicate procedures followed by God's chosen family, the best of creation, to keep their focus on God. Yet we, descendants of those abandoned to their evil ways, are gifted with the infilling of the Holy Spirit and so often still wander in the desert clueless about what Jesus did for us. Why do I need encouragement to ask the Lord to take my will, meditate on the Word until it soaks into my blood bringing breath from my lungs to my heart, & receive the peace of God that passes all understanding when I KNOW the peace of God? It's as mind boggling as the arrest of our Lord Jesus, but I'll take a double helping if it will help me serve the Lord. Glory to God for all that is good & thank-you Jesus!
