Acts 1:3- During the 40 days after His crucifixion, He appeared to the apostles from time to time, and He proved to them in many ways that He was actually alive. And He talked to them about the Kingdom of God.
If Jesus were walking around the earth today what would He be doing? This passage gives us a clear answer to that question and shows us what we should be doing as Christ’s ambassadors on the earth.
1. Proving- the fact that Jesus is truly alive defies all human reasoning and launches a person into the realm of faith. What are some of the proofs that we have to show others that He is actually alive? Our lives of holiness and separation unto the Lord. The joy of salvation and leading others to eternal life. The divine order in our families and friendships. Our passion for prayer and worship. Our love for each other as believers. As you can see, many things are in our arsenal to prove Jesus is actually alive. Praise to the Lamb!!!
2. Talking- whatever comes out of your mouth is a direct result of what is in your heart. If the Kingdom of God is in your heart then you will speak of it. If the Kingdom is not in your heart then you will never speak of it. The Kingdom of God is revealed to us by the Living Word and through the person of the King. Obviously, the King is Jesus. Many people try to keep the things of God limited to natural and fleshly understanding. The Kingdom of God is not revealed by flesh and blood nor dates and times but by faith and power.
As Jesus to the world we should do as He did after the finished work of the Cross and prove He is actually alive to the lost and talk about the Kingdom to each other on every occasion. Food for thought!
