We are facing a spirit in our nation that is the most deadly spirit to mankind and the quickest way to rouse the unquenchable anger and judgment of Almighty God, homosexuality. This spirit is wrapping its coils around the very throat of our nation and unapologetically squeezing the moral life out of us. All throughout the Bible 2 spirits were always met with disgust and destruction from God, murder and homosexuality. Throughout history we see 2 direct instances of total destruction from God toward cities that were overrun with homosexuality. Sodom and Gomorrah were so annihilated that nothing remains but the Dead Sea. Pompey was totally drowned in a sea of hot, molten lava because of the great stench of perversion that arose from the city in 90 AD.
Today in our great nation that same foul spirit of Sodomy (yes, that is the official name the govt. has given homosexuality in the very law) is growing in influence and leverage. Day and night the workers of iniquity (lost souls that desperately need the Savior) work to not only change the laws of our nation toward them but change the very minds of our people to accepting this unthinkable wickedness. Let me be clear, they don’t want us to to coexist with them peacefully, they want us to endorse and even like what they are doing! This spirit is not one that desires a back seat but demands up front attention and will force all who resist to be attacked, ostracized, and soon prosecuted. You say that will never happen…
Take a look at the bill that that just passed the House of Rep in Washington that restricts all speech that is interpreted as targeting those of 32 forms of sexual orientation. If we do not rise up and stand on the Word of God against this spirit of immorality and lewdness we will find ourselves in the same position as our brothers and sisters in Canada who are jailed for speaking up for righteousness sake. That is serious business to me! No, we cannot devote all our attention to fighting this one issue but we need to be aware of the spiritual climate we are in and pray like never before for our leaders that they will have the backbone to reject this 3% who would try and impose their will and wickedness on the rest of us.
Prayer: Oh God of Heaven and Earth, rend our hearts for this nation and turn back Your awesome wrath from our midst. Forgive us for being passive in the pursuit of righteousness and complacent against the perversion of Sodom that would try and mar our great country with it’s evil coils. Give us great wisdom and strength to fight against this nation-destroying principality with fervor and yet love. Finally, loose your Holy Spirit to convict of sin and convince of Jesus all who struggle with the tormenting spirit of homosexuality. Set them free I pray in Jesus Name!!!
This used to be something I had to deal with from a distance, being from a small town in South Central Kansas. Unfortunately that is not the case anymore. Just this week as I was preaching to my youth group, two girls tried to hold hands and gasped as I said we need to stand for truth, like the fact that marriage is between a man and a woman. Another boy in service named Derrick wanted to be called Katie. God help us to treat these lost souls not as freaks or people with some horrible disease, but to show them the love and grace that our Heavenly Father showed us even in our sin. Praying for your healing and the harvest of many “homosexual” souls in the immediate future!
wow i neva knew it was dat bad coz here in south africa they only recently allowed gay marriage even though most of us didnt want them to say so and having a gay person is now the norm in all tv soapies swo i think all over the world the 3% is influencing people and we really have to be praying about this situation as at schools we are taught now that it is a genetic problem neva that it is a spirit that one must delivered from. i think we reali need to pray that the Light of GOD shines upon people so they may see the sin and see how dirty it is
Amen pastor Joel! This issue has been tearing me up inside. I look up everyday to see if the bill has passed in another form of our government and it just drives me crazy to see how blind these people are. I guess all I can do is pray for mercy upon our nation.

Everything you have said is soo right. I cringe to thing that our nation has become what it has, but then again, I am not surprised. My prayer for each day is that we come together as believers and war against this with the love and peace we receive from Holy Spirit. One thing I know for sure, though, WE WILL WIN!

I am reminded of your brother’s sermon on the flood a couple months ago where he described Noah & his family listened to the screams of their 200 year old neighbors as they & their children were swallowed by the waters. If, when it had started raining, God had said “it looks like there’s room for a few more “, Noah wouldn’t have been worried about sounding judgemental or hateful. He probably would have been screaming “GET IN THE BOAT!” He might have even lost tact. His last chance to bring people in, had the doors been reopened as the skies turned dark, might have sounded something like this blog entry. That’s all supposition of course, but many non-Christians and “Christians” alike simply don’t believe in the Word. What the devil tells them is hate, judgementalism, & condemnation is the same thing they would do if they saw a person drenched in gasoline getting ready to light a match. Unfortunately, if someone doesn’t believe in the Word as the creator & giver of life, they are not likely to believe demonic spirits are here keeping them fixated on their rights to lead a chosen lifestyle. How do you convince those you love who don’t believe in the Word that God gave us the right to choose but Satan aims to take away that right by putting us in a vice-grip. The liar doesn’t want anyone to believe in eternal life.
Thank-you for provoking me into giving this deeper consideration. I know it’s a simple question of life or death, but it’s hard to apply that to 36 years of apathy.

At my school, there is a gay club (you should know what school I’m talking about, Pastor) and they just recently released their t- shirts and on the front it said “gay? fine by me.” Something just broke inside of me. It really disturbed my spirit and opened my eyes to what this nation is coming to. I pray that these people’s hearts turn back to the Father before it is too late…

I have to deal with this first hand. My now exwife is a lesbian and says that she isn’t hurting anyone. I cringe when I hear her say that. We have a six year old son and she refuses to see or think that she might be hurting him. Not only is she asking me to accept her choice and think nothing is wrong with it, but she is now forcing my son to. I know I’m not the only father who is dealing with it but the law makers who don’t see anything wrong with it are hurting the well being of my son cause they won’t let him live with a father who trusts in, believes in, and would die for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This passive nation has become luke warm in mouth of our Lord and soft in it’s moral backbone. It makes me sick and I bet our founding fathers are shaking their heads in disqust at us.
