Hosea 9:8–The prophet is a watchman over Israel for my God, yet traps are laid for him wherever he goes. He faces hostility even in the house of God.
What a verse this is!! So many things are resonating in my spirit as I meditate on this insightful declaration from the prophet Hosea.
1. Watchmen must be prophetic- you cannot put the spiritually blind, deaf, and dumb in a position that affects the safety and well being of everyone else. You need people assigned to watch who are anointed to watch by living a lifestyle of brokenness and pursuit in God’s presence.
2. Prophetic people must be watchmen- as much as prophetic people love and prioritize the presence of God we cannot stay in the clouds of glory and ignore the wickedness around us. God sends prophets to nations (over Israel to Hosea) and we as Americans must see what is taking place both good and bad and be bold in declaring the Word of God no matter if it is celebrated or despised.
3. Prophetic people work for God- of course we all work for God who are believers but prophetic people report directly to the Lord. This doesn’t mean we don’t need accountability and authority but that God is depending on us to speak for Him as Aaron spoke for Moses. What a privilege and honor that must be taken with the utmost care!
4. Watchmen are not usually very popular!- the world ignores them and the church persecutes them. Hosea warns prophetic watchmen that they will face hostility even in the house of God. Why would those receiving the benefit of being warned of danger be mad at the watchmen? Religion, flesh, selfishness, complete insensitivity to the Holy Spirit.
There is no doubt that God anoints some individuals like the prophets of old to be a major voice in a nation but, in the end, we are all called to be watchmen. Stay close to the Lord and allow His Holy Spirit to speak to you about the heart of God. If you feel a particular call to be a watchmen then press into God’s call through prayer and intercession. Remember: always stay humble and teachable!

Have you ever known that you were in transition? How do you know? Can you truly measure it or is it an intangible that can only be reflected on in completion. I wonder if the butterfly has any vision or foresight into what it will become when it is breaking out of the cocoon? Many times we go through transitions in our life that end up greatly defining who we are and yet in the midst of it all we fail to grasp the enormity of what is happening.

In my life, standing at the milestone of 30, it feels very much like a transition is taking place that will define the rest of my life and the next 10 years in particular. There are really 3 kinds of transitions in life: transitions of consequence (bad), transitions of decision (good, like getting saved), and transition of seasons. The type of transition that i feel in my life in this time is that of seasons. My youth, my training, and all that God has used to shape me is culminating into the explosion of who God has called me to be. Over and over in my life the character Joseph comes to mind as he was placed in a position of govt. at 30 and ruled there until 110. His whole life was set by the course of that one transition. Here are some thoughts on managing transition:

1. Rest: don’t tear up the cocoon before you have become a butterfly! Allow the Lord to orchestrate your steps and don’t push anything that the Lord hasn’t blessed and confirmed in your life through spiritual authority.

2. Relax: realize that God is going to do something incredible that you don’t yet fully realize and must not strive to complete in the flesh.

3. Reassure: be reassured by the word of God and the HS. Don’t look for fleshly affirmation from people or things but allow the Lord to be your source of confidence.

4. Run: when you know that you have come into a new season of God’s favor don’t be hesitant to embrace it and run with the fullness of your strength.

This word coming from my heart could be for a high school student entering the world or a minister in pursuit of God’s next assignment. All of us go through transition. Be encouraged my friend and excited in the good things God has planned for you! Jer. 29:11

Rom. 1:24- So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies.
This foul spirit of sodomy is making a bid for the soul of our nation right now. Many Christians are naive to the wickedness and militance of the “gay rights” agenda. It is bold, it is brash, and it won’t stop until you agree with it. They don’t want us to live peacefully with them while they practice their “alternative lifestyle” they want every American to say they see no problem with it and make it law that there is nothing weird or wrong with it.
Many of you would wonder why this spirit is so militant? It is a false god that is demanding worship and worth and not just acceptance. This spirit was seen all throughout the Bible in the form of Ashtoreth, the “female” counterpart of Baal. This was a fish god that changed genders from male to female. This wicked spirit of gender confusion has been around for thousands of years and is once again seeking to be worshipped in our nation, to be exalted at as god, and eventually destroy everything good about America.
We as believers and end-time prophetic people need to identify this wicked spirit and stand with those who are being persecuted by this false god and it’s worshippers. Miss California is a perfect illustration of how anyone who dares come against the gay agenda will be attacked, maligned, and soon prosecuted. I declare today that every foul idol and god that would seek to be worshipped through the confusion of identity is exposed and every person under that regime of bondage would be released in Jesus Name. Let the captives be set free!!!
Luke 4:18- …He has sent Me (Jesus) to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed with be set free, and that the time of the Lord’s favor has come.

Gen. 19:4-5 But before they retired for the night, all the men of Sodom, young and old, came from all over the city and surrounded the house. They shouted to Lot, “Where are the men who came to spend the night with you? Bring them out to us so we can have sex with them!”
We are facing a spirit in our nation that is the most deadly spirit to mankind and the quickest way to rouse the unquenchable anger and judgment of Almighty God, homosexuality. This spirit is wrapping its coils around the very throat of our nation and unapologetically squeezing the moral life out of us. All throughout the Bible 2 spirits were always met with disgust and destruction from God, murder and homosexuality. Throughout history we see 2 direct instances of total destruction from God toward cities that were overrun with homosexuality. Sodom and Gomorrah were so annihilated that nothing remains but the Dead Sea. Pompey was totally drowned in a sea of hot, molten lava because of the great stench of perversion that arose from the city in 90 AD.
Today in our great nation that same foul spirit of Sodomy (yes, that is the official name the govt. has given homosexuality in the very law) is growing in influence and leverage. Day and night the workers of iniquity (lost souls that desperately need the Savior) work to not only change the laws of our nation toward them but change the very minds of our people to accepting this unthinkable wickedness. Let me be clear, they don’t want us to to coexist with them peacefully, they want us to endorse and even like what they are doing! This spirit is not one that desires a back seat but demands up front attention and will force all who resist to be attacked, ostracized, and soon prosecuted. You say that will never happen…
Take a look at the bill that that just passed the House of Rep in Washington that restricts all speech that is interpreted as targeting those of 32 forms of sexual orientation. If we do not rise up and stand on the Word of God against this spirit of immorality and lewdness we will find ourselves in the same position as our brothers and sisters in Canada who are jailed for speaking up for righteousness sake. That is serious business to me! No, we cannot devote all our attention to fighting this one issue but we need to be aware of the spiritual climate we are in and pray like never before for our leaders that they will have the backbone to reject this 3% who would try and impose their will and wickedness on the rest of us.
Prayer: Oh God of Heaven and Earth, rend our hearts for this nation and turn back Your awesome wrath from our midst. Forgive us for being passive in the pursuit of righteousness and complacent against the perversion of Sodom that would try and mar our great country with it’s evil coils. Give us great wisdom and strength to fight against this nation-destroying principality with fervor and yet love. Finally, loose your Holy Spirit to convict of sin and convince of Jesus all who struggle with the tormenting spirit of homosexuality. Set them free I pray in Jesus Name!!!
