With both sadness and joy I regret to inform all of you that tonight February 11 at 9:40 pm my lovely wife Amy went to be with Jesus. This is a mighty victory and the half will never be known. With great love and appreciation to all who have joined with us.
Joel

Pastor Joel-
Even though I don’t know you personally, go to Bethany or even live in Louisiana, I have been changed because of your ministry. Two of my best friends are interns so they have been keeping me updated with what’s been happening and I just wanted to let you know that I have been and will be praying for you and your family.

My heart goes out to you and your families, Joel. This is a time of sadness…and joy. It is obvious Amy touched many for the Lord. And it is obvious that He has a mighty work in store for you. You are undergoing some heavy training. You are in our hearts and prayers.
Pastor Joel, words can not describe the impact your ministry has had on my life. I offer my condolences and prayer for your family. This is even more reason for us as a youth group, a church, as the body of Christ to assemble as an army against the enemy. God is your strength, your support, your refuge. Thank you for being a man I can look up to in life, and model myself after, to follow you as you follow Christ. Pastor Amy will be greatly missed, her kindness lives on in our hearts. With love,
Daniel
Joel,
May the peace and comfort of Jesus be with you and your family during this time. We send our sincere love and heartfelt prayers.
Pastor Joel,
This hurts us, however, God is still on the throne and in control. We send you our condolences, words are hard to find in times like this. The Name of Jesus be glorified in this situation. You are in our prayers.

Brother Joel,
You don’t know me. My husband and I pastor in Walker, La. We have been praying for your sweet wife. I want to offer my condolences for your loss. We can rest assured of this one thing…those who are in Christ will be reunited one day in heaven. I know she is face to face with her Lord right now and worshipping Him with utter abandonment. Our prayers are with you and your family. God bless.

Joel,
I am a member of City Bible Church in Portland, OR and recently worked at our Generation Unleashed conference. I was overwhelmed by your devotion and dedication to “stand firm and fight” in the face of this challenging battle and I thank you for taking the time to pour out to the young people of our church even in the midst of your own circumstances. As someone who has lost a family member to cancer (and prayed for Amy) I want to encourage you that God WILL continue to remain faithful to hold you in His hand and to cover you with His peace every single day. It will be hard BUT….HE IS FAITHFUL to carry you. So many are praying for you.
Pastor Joel,
After learning this heartbreaking news today, I left school with a heaviness on my heart. I turned off the radio and began to cry out to God. Some of the ride is quite a blur, since I spent it weeping and praying in the loudest tongues I’ve ever experienced. I’m standing with you, Pastor, and even though you don’t know me, my heart goes right out to you and your family. I’m not even going to pretend to understand what’s going through your mind. One question, however, continues to flow through my mind and my heart: Who’s report do you believe?
With Great Love,
Brooke A.
Pastor Joel,
My heart and prayers go out to Amy’s and your family. We will continue to keep you all in our prayers.
My condolences to you and your family. Amy was one of the most classy ladies I have known.
Though we are greatly saddened by Amy’s departure from this world, we praise God for the victory over death. We know that she is present with the Lord right now! We thank God for her life here with you and all of your family. Jehovah Jireh is our provider and He has already provided you with strength, peace, comfort, love and joy. I am glad to know you and your family are resting. So as you-all rest, we’ll be holding you up.
in His name.
Dear Pastor Joel,
We have been standing with you in prayer throughtout this time for Amy’s healing in her body, and we all know that at times God’s ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts. We now know that she is completely healed in Jesus Name.
Just know that we all love you and that we will continue to hold your hands up in prayer throughout this time of loss for you and your family. God wil not place no more on you than you can bear, He is our Refuge and our Strong Tower. We pray that God will continue to shield your heart and give you strength.
We love you Bro Joel and we pray blessings and peace over you and your family.
Both you and Amy have bben such a great blessing to us all, she will be missed.
Pastor Joel,
On behalf of our family we just want you to know that our prayers go out to you and the entire Stockstill family. Bethany has touched our lives like no other! As you know, God will see you through this. Thank God for the miracle that was provided! Rejoice, for she is with the Lord! We love you.
Pastor Joel, yours and your family’s testimonies in this time are an amazing source of strength and encouragement to many, myself included.
Thank you for living your life for the glory of the almighty God.
Pastor Joel at our weekly cell meeting last night while praying for Amy to be healed…I had a vision of Amy’s physical body laying in the hospital bed but her soul danced around the room as family looked down on her..(believe or not her spirit was even more beautiful than her earthly self) and at that very moment God impressed upon me not to pray for her but to pray for you..I knew at that very moment she was going home to be with the Lord. So I started to pray for your peace of mind. Pastor I will continue to lift you and your family up in prayer daily, because through you and your family God saved me and mine. Be blessed Pastor and hold on to God’s unchanging hand.
Dear Joel, Mr & Mrs. Hart, Angie, Andrew and the Stockstill family,
I am sorry for your loss. Amy’s life was spent telling others about the Jesus she served. He is now serving her. Eternity is the promise that you will see her one day soon.
In Christian love and thoughts,

Joel, Randy & Beth and all the family,
We cannot express our deep sorrow for you. You are in our thoughts and prayers. It must be so hard to still be here when Amy is not.
We can just see her Grandpa C.C. welcoming her home and escorting her to the throne. I imagine she’s exploding with joy and peace right now in the arms of Jesus.
We love you all so much and know that you will come through this with great victory. God is good all the time even when we don’t understand…
Let us know if there is anything we can do.

Joe, Randy, Beth, Angi, Andres, and The Stockstill family,
It was always a joy to watch Amy grow into the beautiful young lady God had called her to be. Even as a young girl she had that same spirit about her. I greive with you over her loss, but I can’t help thinking and getting exicted in my spirit when I think of her in heaven walking the street of gold and praising Jesus. I’m sure she makes a beautiful angel and we will be with her again. We will continue to pray for the peace that surpasses all of our understanding for your family,
The Jacobs
Pastor Joel,

Pastor Amy shared of herself, imparting “beauty” into our lives, and we will always cherish the memory. A true example of the Proverbs 31 woman…
Dear Joel
Our hearts are with you and the family. We knew amy from a child. Randy and Beth have been friends so many years. We left Bethany South this last year to serve in Alaska. Amy was a big part of our childrens early years. As she was one of a few we trusted watching them. I never remembering a cross word from her. Always respectful and having the light of Jesus shining thru her. She IS a credit to the Kingdom of God. And our lives are better to know her.
May the Lords face shine upon you and give you peace.

I don’t go to your church. I had never heard of 220. Then a friend posted a note on facebook and mentioned Amy’s passing. I went to your blog, which my friend also mentioned.
I pray that not only does this touch you, but that it revives you; that God gives you energy, passion, and endurance abundantly.
May the peace of Almighty God abide in you.
And I also feel led to tell you:
Don’t worry. Amy knows.
-Jonathan-
And by this, I meant the message. Just wanted to clarify.
:O)
Prayers for comfort that only God can give in this time of loss. He knows what is best and we know that he only has great thoughts toward us.
Strength and Life is such a powerful worship song. I hope everytime you hear it God ministers His love to you.
God is Love!
Pastor Joel and family,
I am truly sorry for your loss. Go with peace knowing that Amy is asleep in our Father’s arms.
Dear Joel,
We grieve with you and your family over the loss of Amy’s presence among us. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
Duet 29:29 The secret things belong to God, but that which is revealed belongs to us.
It is a mystery to us why she was not raised up physically.
Prayers of Faith, Thanksgiving and Worship in Faith for her were offered up to God by thousands and perhaps hundreds of thousands of believers around the world. The prayer meetings around the clock have been some of the most powerful and faith filled prayer meetings we have ever been in. So it is a secret, a mystery to us all why she was not raised up in her physical body.
But, what is not a secret is the fact that Amy is an Eternal Spirit with Eternal Life!
Amy has left the Earthly tent that she dwelt in and now lives in the Mansion that Jesus has built Himself!
Oh, I am sure and have no doubt that Amy will be waiting to show you all around heaven when you arrive!
Yes, we weep now, but Joy comes in the morning. We do sorrow now, but not as others who have no hope!
The trumpet of Jesus is not far off! In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye we will all become like Amy is now!
What we don’t know, in this moment of time. What we don’t understand now, in this moment of time, is so much smaller than what we do know!
Death is our enemy and God’s Enemy. Death will be cast into the Lake of Fire with Satan! God hates death, it is the offspring of satan! Death will pay! Death and satan will burn forever!
For those of us who remain here for a while longer. Let’s not forget that every day, every meal, every breath is a sacred gift from God to us!
Let us pledge to give God 100%, holding back nothing. Everyday, death is taking people out all around us. Sometimes it is close to home and sometimes it is on the other side of the world. But, know this. Death is busy! If death is busy, then how should we be? Jesus said “Go into all the world, preach the Gospel”!
As a memorial to Amy I think that all who will, should make a pledge to heaven to win at least one soul to Jesus.
Some might want to claim and win 5 souls as a memorial to Amy, some 10, 100, 1,000, 100,000 or my choice 1,000,000. Let’s make satan sorry for his actions!
Let’s make satan pay! Let’s pray for revival! Let’s bombard heaven for a revival to come to Baton Rouge and America that will bring in millions of souls!!!
Amy, we will miss you!
Satan, the next of kin is gunning for you!
Joel and family, God bless you and Comfort you with His sweet, sweet Spirit.
Together with you,
Lloyd and Anita Cole
Dear Family,
As we prayed for Amy over the last few months, even though I did not know her personally, I fell in love with the heart of Amy Stockstill. Something happened in me as I prayed for her. She seemed to me as a little sister, and I prayed for her as I pray for my sister Robin. Jesus drew me into prayer for her. I have never felt anything so powerful for one person in my life. She drew Heaven’s touch in prayer. She changed my life and heart without knowing me. Wow, what a life lived in God!
I can’t imagine how much you who knew her will miss her. The love of God in her is hard to kiss goodbye.
She is Heaven’s royalty now, until we all get to see her.
Jesus let us pray for her as a special reward and let us love her with our prayers. Here, we see dimly, when we see Jesus face to face, I want to see her right beside Him, beeming with His glory. Thank you for letting us pray with you for your Amy. It is one of the great privileges of my life. To have lived so much for God that in your homegoing, God exploded prayer in His church that is reaching around the world…my, my, what a life. Thank you, Amy. We will never forget you.
“My thoughts are completely different from yours” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55: 8-9.
Three years ago my dear brother left this world to be with Jesus at a very young age leaving behind a wife, three young children, family and friends who loved him dearly. God put this scripture on my heart and I stand on it every day. While this side of heaven we will never understand why – we know that God’s ways are higher than ours and we trust that this is all in God’s divine plan. Thank God we know that we will see our loved one again – that you will see your dear Amy again. We have been standing with you in prayer during this storm and we will continue to lift you and your precious family up for God’s peace that surpasses all understanding.
In Christ,
Donna and Jeff Montagino

Pastor Joel and Family,
I am sorry for your loose of a very beautiful person. Pastor Joel, God had a reason for allowing her to be in your life the time that she was in it. Keep your precious memories alive in your heart always. She is well and whole walking streets of gold. I know that you would not have it any other way if it meant she was no longer suffering. You are in my prayers and I pray that God strengthen you as you walk through these next few difficult days. Godspeed is with you.
Tamecha, Mariah, and Bria
Pastor Joel:
Our prayers are with you and your family during this time of bereavement.
Safely Home
by Unknown
I am home in Heaven, dear ones;
Oh, so happy and so bright!
There is perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light.
All the pain and grief is over,
Every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in Heaven at last.
Did you wonder I so calmly
Trod the valley of the shade?
Oh! but Jesus’ arm to lean on,
Could I have one doubt or dread?
Then you must not grieve so sorely,
For I love you dearly still;
Try to look beyond earth’s shadows,
Pray to trust our Father’s Will.
There is work still waiting for you,
So you must not idly stand;
Do it now, while life remaineth–
You shall rest in Jesus’ land.
When that work is all completed,
He will gently call you Home;
Oh, the rapture of that meeting,
Oh, the joy to see you come!
To the family of Amy and Joel,
I read that the men that prayed over Amy was for her healing. Well, Joel, she GOT her healing!!! She is not sick anymore, she is doing awesome, she is with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! I know she will be missed terribly, by all that knew her and those who didnt, but she is not suffering anymore, she is with the one who suffered. She has left a legacy on this earth, that will never be forgotten, as she stored her treasures in Heaven, and now she cashed them in. I will pray without ceasing for now and always. Take care each and everone of you…… God is still in control.
Love in Christ,
Tyra Landry
