Militant Perversion

Saturday, August 18th, 2007

Every great civilization was eventually degraded to the place of ultimate perversion, homosexuality. From Sodom to Pompey God’s hand of judgment has been seen against this abomination. I am sad to see this militant spirit taking more and more ground in our own, once-godly nation. Recently, the democratic party accepted the invitation of a well-known gay tv channel to come and speak their position on the gay agenda; it was not pretty! All the Democratic candidates are pro-homosexual and back a plan to make civil unions possible in every state of the Union for gay couples.

Another most scary incident has happened this last week in Dallas. High Point Church, pastored by Gary Simons (Joel Osteen’s brother in law), was in the front page of newspapers and web news sites all over the nation. This exposure was due to the rejection of holding a gay Navy veteran’s funeral in their church sanctuary. Gay choirs, video footage of gay lovers, and many other lewd activities were planned for the funeral service. And yet, the nation was polled to be 76% mad at the church and pastor. This is the state of our nation I’m afraid. Oh! how we need revival! We must take a stand against this spirit of militant perversion with the light of the Gospel because ignoring it will only empower it more.

Read the High Point Church statement

Gen. 18:20,21- So the Lord told Abraham, I have heard that the people of Sodom and Gomorrah are extremely evil, and that everything they do is wicked. I am going down to see whether or not these reports are true. Then I will know.

Daily Grain Offering

Thursday, August 16th, 2007

In Lev. 2 it speaks of the daily grain offering. This sacrifice was made up of 3 ingredients. The first ingredient was choice flour and this represents the Word of God. Nothing else is choice flour but the living, breathing, Word of God. We need this flour everyday to be our spiritual substance and strength. The second ingredient was the olive oil that was mixed with the flour. This is the precious person of the HS and his daily activity in our life. Praying in the Spirit, the fruit of the Spirit, and being led by the Spirit are all essential to the daily walk of a believer. I don’t know what I would do without the Holy Spirit! Finally, a little bit of incense was sprinkled into the flour and oil. This is a type of our worship to God. Whether praises of joy or tears of brokenness before Him, the incense of our worship spices up our daily grain offering to God.
It is important that we offer this daily and not weekly or monthly, not even when we are feeling “spiritual”, but as a sacrifice each and every day. This is a goal of my walk with God and something that has brought me through many a storm. Allow the Lord to teach you how to manifest this OT command with NT liberty!

Momentum

Saturday, August 11th, 2007

What an exciting time of year! School is getting started again and everything is coming back into swing from the summer months (not that this summer hasn’t been crazy!). I feel in my spirit a tremendous momentum of anointing, revival, and growth that is coming to our ministry, both north campus and 220. The youth group is poised to reach 12000 and beyond this year and the north campus is already seeing signs of explosive growth.

God is truly pouring out His Spirit it an unprecedented way and I believe if we will keep pressing in and seeking His face we will see a great revival in our church, city, and nation. I know and feel the momentum of something great coming. It’s like a tidal wave under water that is about to rise above the surface and devastate the shoreline of hell. OH, how we need this today!

The battles that have been fought this year will break forth into mighty victory in the months and years to come. Your prayers have helped carry Amy and I through some dark hours and continue to strengthen us day by day as we face down these wicked spirits of infirmity. Could it be that a great healing revival and miracle anointing is coming and the enemy is trying to abort it ahead of time? I have always said that the enemy will always try to kill in the womb what he doesn’t want to fight full grown. Healings and miracles are in the balance right now and the enemy is trying his best to stop that flow from ever happening, but he is defeated!

Psa. 126:5,6- Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy. They weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest.

Home with Joy

Wednesday, August 8th, 2007

Thank God for being home! Yesterday evening mom and I arrived in NO with a shout! One week gone seemed like a month. Once in NO, I went over to the Great Awakening service with Pastor Rodney held at Victory Christian on Airline (Past. Frank Bailey). Amy and I had our leadership team from 220 meet us there and we were all refreshed and touched by the anointing. It was encouraging to see how many souls are coming to the Lord in our very own state. For those of you who don’t know Past. Rodney’s ministry it is marked with a tangible anointing of joy found in the river of God.

Tom. night we are taking our whole leadership from 220 as well as some of the pastors from North to the service for impartation and laying on of hands. All will be filled with HIs glorious presence, in which is the FULLNESS of joy! If you don’t like joy you will be miserable in heaven.

The Lord knew that I needed a refreshing this week and boy! did He send it! I encourage any of you who can to join us tom night (Thur. 9) for a time of revival fire and passion for souls. (See revival.com for info)

Acts 13:52- And the believers were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.
