And the battle goes on…

Tuesday, July 31st, 2007

Today Amy, myself, and mom are going to be traveling to Palm Beach for testing and possible surgery on my arm. For those of you who don’t know, since March there has been a series of surgeries to repair or remake my dialysis fistula. This trip and surgery will, prayerfully!, be my last. There are many complicated factors to the medical equation but one simple factor in the spirit, pre-paid health! We are relying completely on the Lord in this hour and will, once again, be victorious over our adversary. Nothing but complete victory is acceptable! I covet your prayers and support as we continue to fight battles on 2 fronts with my health and Amy’s. If it weren’t for prayer and supernatural grace God only knows where we would be! I will keep updates here on my blog so that you can all pray specifically.

Tom. morning (Wed. 1) I will be going in for the first round of tests and hopefully after that will have a more accurate picture of what is to come. I will be in touch…

James 5:10- For examples of patience in suffering, dear brothers and sisters, look at the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. We give great honor to those who endure under suffering. Job is an example of a man who endured patiently. From his experience we see how the Lord’s plan finally ENDED IN GOOD, for He is full of tenderness and mercy.

Victory upon victory

All I can say about the 2nd Upside Down conf. is WOW! The HS moved mightily in both and the lives of many young people and youth pastors were touched forever, praise God! Amy and I have been recovering yesterday and today from a huge release of spiritual and physical strength. Thank God for His rest.

I sense in my spirit a momentum of victory. These conf. were attacked with the devil’s best shot and they were the best ever. My health has been under attack since March and I feel resolution coming in that arena. This Tues. Amy and I will be headed back to West Palm for another procedure on my arm. I am believing this is the last operation in this tale spin. I can see light at the end of the tunnel for both my present situation and the war that has raged for so many years for my health. There is a sense of total victory in the air and the devil knows it. Bishop Matthew says sometimes the enemy believes in our destiny more than we do, what a statement! That ol’ devil knows that the end of his hurrah is near. Thank you for your continued prayers in regards to all of this.
I will keep all of you updated for specific prayer as this week unfolds. Thank you, thank you, thank you for each and every prayer.

1 Pet. 4:19- So if you are suffering according to God’s will, keep on doing what is right, and trust yourself to the God who made you, for He will NEVER fail you.

Super Victorious

Put him under your feet! Put him under your feet! Ha ha ha ha ha ha! he is under my feet! This song of Jonathan’s encapsules my attitude going into this conf. week. The enemy has given his best shot and we are still standing. Not only standing but charging the gates of hell itself to deliver a generation from the clutch of a bad devil and present them blameless to a GOOD God!

Your prayers have been working and victory is rising. Amy had another treatment today and all is well. We stand poised to deliver another death blow to slewfoot. Please keep both of our health lifted up as we minister this week to the Upside Down2 national conf.

This morning in my prayer time the Lord showed me that He is about to increase the demonstration of His glory through my life and ministry. I don’t know all the implications but I can’t wait to see what God has up His celestial sleeve for this week!

Col. 1:28- So everywhere we go, we tell everyone about Christ. We warn them and teach them with all wisdom God has given us, for we want to present them to God perfect in their relationship with Christ. I work very hard at this, as I depend on Christ’s mighty power that works within me.

Don’t stop in Haran!

Friday, July 20th, 2007

Last night we received a powerful message from Pastor Glen Berteau. He is a BR native who pastors now in Modesto, Cal. I know, tough job, but someone has to do it!

He made a point that really resounded in my spirit concerning Terah the father of Abraham stopping in the town of Haran when God had called him to go into Canaan (Gen.11). Terah means “delay” and Haran means “dry place”. So another words, Haran fell short of what God wanted him to do because he came to a dry place and stopped. Wow! this is the condition of many former leaders and believers in the body of Christ today. They have come to a place of real dryness in the Spirit of God and allowed that season to dominate the landscape of their spiritual walk.

Everyone has an excuse that in their minds qualifies them to stay in Haran and never go all the way to Canaan where God has called them to. In short, we must “get over” these excuses and problems and walk the walk of faith until we reach the fullness of God’s plan for our life.

Phil. 3:13,14– No, dear brohters and sisters, I am still not all I should be, but I am focusing all my energies on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I strain to reach the end of the race and receive the prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us up to heaven.
