Dear friends and intercessors,
I wanted to give you a quick update and let you know that all is well. I was released late this afternoon from the hospital and am now recovering at the hotel. Amy and I are in good spirits and hope to be home as soon as possible. I will write more in the next couple of days when I’m feeling stronger. His grace was sufficient for me!

Wednesday, June 6th, 2007What an awesome outpouring of love and prayer Amy and I feel as we face these difficult circumstances. Our minds have been at peace and our hearts full of joy as we head into this operation tom. I know that God is in truly in control and angels are watching over me. One huge comfort is that my Holy Ghost-filled doctor (Doc Crandall), who raised a man from the dead last year!, will be with me in the operating room and throughout the whole process. How incredible to have a man of faith by my side in the operating room watching over me.
Another great blessing is that my dad and sister routed their flight here from Europe and will be with Amy and I tom. and Fri. We have gotten some Holy Ghost reinforcements on the the ground and tonight we prayed in the Spirit and sang prophetic songs of deliverance and healing. This just shows that all of us need a pastor at one point or another even if you are a pastor! I so appreciate dad and Missy coming to be with us in this moment of testing.
Finally, there is the knowing that godly folks, like yourself, are praying and concerned for me in this moment. Keep up the prayer and know that we appreciate you whether we know you are not. The Scripture I leave you with is 1 Cor. 12:26- And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it. NKJV
Prayer Update from Palm Beach
Tuesday, June 5th, 2007Dear friends and intercessors, I am writing to you from Palm Beach, Fla. where God is moving! Today we met with our doctors to go over all test results and be brought up to speed on all that is necessary for long-term health and wellness (from a medical perspective). On coming to Fla. we knew that some form of an operaton was necessary but we were not sure what form that would take. After meeting with the surgeon this morning all has become clear as to what is going to take place.
This Thur. afternoon we will be going in for an operation that will (Lord willing) ensure dialysis access for the months and years to come. Of course, we believe that this will be a termorary measure until the full manifestation of healing in my body. God has 2 new kidneys for me and we will not stop until that has been realized in form of natural manifestation! Bottom line: please be in prayer on Thur. afternoon as we are scheduled to go in at 1 pm eastern time which is 12 pm central. Your prayers will be felt and appreciated as we walk through this small bump in the road. Hallelujah the victory is ours in the name of Jesus! I leave you with this Scripture from Rom. 8:2- For the LAW of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has set you free (me Joel) from the law of sin and death (kidney failure).
Your Prayers Needed
Saturday, June 2nd, 2007Dear intercessor, please be lifting up Amy and I as we travel to Palm Beach, Fla. for a week of tests and procedures related to my health. We will be flying out Sunday night (June 3) and beginning tests on Monday morning at 8. We are unsure at this time of our return but know that God is in control and will bring us through this fiery trial with His marvelous grace and miraculous power.
