I won’t take the time to be eloquent, it’s time for war! For those of you who don’t know, my wife, Amy, has been viciously attacked in her body over that last couple of weeks. In the last week we found out that the problem is a low-grade cancer known as Hodgkins Lymphoma. This is a highly curable disease and we know that our God is the healer anyway! We are summoning prayer warriors from all over the nation to stand with us. The most important prayer is coming from our home base here in BR. It just is amazing to see, once again, how many people love and support us in prayer. It has truly been touching! I sit and read your comments and they just amaze me how God has put such a deep love in the hearts of so many of you for Amy and I. (and boy do we appreciate it right now!)
Never in my life have I seen such warfare, and you all that know me know that I have seen some serious battle days in my time, but this is something else! To be honest it is truly shocking in one sense but exciting in another to know that the enemy is so afraid of us that he has to go to all these lengths to try and stop us and still he fails! haha devil, take that!
I ask all of you to be praying tom. morning at 8 (Fri.) as Amy goes in for her first treatment. Pray that all goes well and her body takes to the therapy well. Secondly, I ask you to pray that God would strengthen my body as my blood levels are whack and I am having a blood transfusion tom. How crazy as both of us will be doing treatments at the same time, but God will carry us.
The final thing i ask you to pray for is for both of us to have the strength we need to host the Upside Down national youth conf. this next week. Thousands are coming from around the nation and God will meet them here even in this time of battle and brokenness. God has been laying some really powerful messages on my heart as I have been preparing. Pray for unction, power, discernment, joy, life, clarity, strength, stamina, and for HIs precious anointing to drip over everything said and done.
Paul said that he “counted it all joy” and if he could do it then so can we! The Scripture I leave you with is out of 2 Cor. 12:9- And He said to me (Joel), My grace is suffecient for you, My power is perfected in your weakness. Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknessess, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. NASB

You are probably just coming out of your treatments by now so let this enciurage you both. Pastor Joel when the Lord told your Grandfather to go right instead of left many years ago He was sending him as a forerunner to make way for a mighty move of God. As a decendent of a Forerunner you too are making way for a mighty move of God. The devil is mad, but he is already defeated in Jesus name. The word of the Lord for you today is: “As for God, his way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true. He is a sheild for all who look to Him for protection”.

Pastor Joel and Amy, I am so grateful that the Holy Spirit prompted you to establish this way for us to communicate. I believe that it was for such a time as this. We are not face-to-face, but we see through our hearts intimately. Our God is greater, and we will not dispair. Psalm 42 says that even though our present sorrows may be so great that tears continuously flow, we hope in God. You will lead the congregation in the house of God at the Upside Down conference with the voice of joy and thanksgiving. You may not know it but your presence is always with us. You are as David, and the Lord is commanding His lovingkindness in the daytime, His song of praise in the evening, and His presence to you always. I read a verse this morning that describes Amy. “The King’s daughter is all glorious within.” Ps.45:13.
Pastors Joel & Amy, We will continue to keep you both in prayer. The first thing that came to my mind when I read about Amy is Genesis 50:20 “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many others.” meaning there are people – patients and family members whom God is going to use Amy to minister to. Souls that only she can reach for the Lord. The devil may think he’s in control BUT GOD…He has such an awesome plan for the two of you. And the devil is defeated!! Amy is the light that shines for Christ and some of those treatment rooms can be pretty dark. She walks in the love and power and authority of Jesus Christ. Gary used to think of chemo as fire and he held onto the scripture in Isaiah 43
“When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned.” God loves you both so very much!! His faithfulness endures forever.
I love you Pastor Joel and Sister Amy! I was an intern last year and I saw some amazing things in 220i from both of you. I am praying for you both!! God has used you in a might way so far in your life and I know this is only the beginning! I am so encouraged by your faith and words of victory in every battle you come against! I appreciate your consistency and faith! Your a world leader for Jesus and you both are healed in Jesus name!! I thank God for Isaiah 53! It’s already finished!! Amen!

Bro. Joel and Sis. Amy! I have been praying (and believing) for the total healing of both of you. I KNOW without a shadow of doubt that we are getting ready to witness the most mighty move of God and it will be based out of our church that you so beautifully lead! The enemy can’t stand it, but the WORD says we have authority over the enemy and that we win. The words, “It is DONE.” keep coming to me all day long; His Word is true and as it say, the battle is not ours, it is His….and it is done! I’ve been reading over and over Scriptures that Mrs. Lusk had given me and saying them over and over using yours and Amy’s name…you both are under the shadow of His wings (what an awesome place to be) ! In 1 John 5:14-15 it says, “And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us: And if we know that He hears us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him.” You are both healed in Jesus’ name. I am a member of Bethany. My daughter is part of 220 and she told me about Amy. God placed on my heart to share something with you. I don’t know if you have ever heard of Dr. Richard Becker. I watch him on TV every morning. He had Hodgkins Lymphoma. He is a holistic doctor. His passion is helping others overcome sickness and disease through natural methods. I am in Mrs. Ann Cappo’s cell group. A lady in our cell mentioned that she had called and told Dr. Colbert about you when you had your surgery. One of Dr. Colbert’s friends is Dr. Jordan Rubin. He had Chroms Disease. He was also healed through natural methods. He has a book called “The Great Physicians RX for Health and Wellness.” This book is about going back to eating natural and whole foods the way God made them. I have learned a lot about how your body can heal itself just by eating natural. We now eat like this. I just wanted to let you know about this because i really felt like God was leading me to. I love that *haha devil take that!!* Although you two are already out of treatment for today, you better believe that I will still be keeping you two lovely and awesome people in my prayers. I don’t know you all (only from the conference that you came to speak at over at my church a while back), since I am all the way over here in California from the church “Templo Calvario”, but I still have the biggest love for you all and your ministry. You are my second favorite Pastor in the whole wide world. I listen to every single sermon that you all have on that 220 website, I check daily , and when there isn’t any, then I go to the Bethany website one!! Call me crazy but that’s okay…I am just constantly lead to your sermons because I always feel the anointing of God through your words. Hey Pastor Joel and Amy….just heard the news and was in shock…but then God just reminded me of the scripture that says “What satan meant for evil, God made it good!” I believe in you guys and love you and stand with you fighting the fight that you are in!!
